Review Projection – Metal Prison

Posted 05 Jul 2022 in News

Slow Burning Car’s fifth release, entitled “Projection”, was released two year ago. I know, they are not the freshest news. However, even if this review is about an album two years old that can’t be included in the lists of 2022, it doesn’t mean that it can’t be appreciated for the upbeat and entertaining album that it is. The “Projection” is-not with the strict musical term- a fusion album. With common denominator of influence the electric sound, the Slow Burning Car travel from the pop-punk to the metal, exploring the different musical possibilities. Can you jump from the 90’s (pop) punk to psychedelic rock while maintaining a certain coherency? Yes, apparently you can and the Slow Burning Car is the...

Review Projection – Rock N Roll Town

Posted 01 Jun 2022 in News

Slow Burning Car released their new album “Projection”. This is the fifth full length album for the band from Los Angeles, USA, which has been on the music scene for over 15 years and has already managed to stand out both on the record and live, but and in the movies with their music in the movie “Crash Artist” (Cinebyte Productions 2008). With their many musical awards, this album brought us great aspirations when it reached our hands and the band did not take long to confirm us! With 10 tracks, which have an interesting production of the 90 ‘but through a technically fresh way, Slow Burning Car come to unfold what they know how to do well and...

Review Projection – We listened to the American SLOW BURNING CAR album entitled “Projection”

Posted 01 Jun 2022 in News

SLOW BURNING CAR quietly, but in fact successfully reached the release of their 5th album! The independent group from Los Angeles releases another very strong work that moves in the field of heavy-alternative rock with strong touches of heavy metal and some grunge, space rock, and psych / garage rock passages. Thus, Projection is very interesting for a large number of listeners. The album starts very loudly with Public Cynic, a composition that immediately impresses with its diversity and alternations from calm to strong points and toubalin. In general, the song, like the band in general, has a strong, we would say adolescent, 90’s energy that captivates the listener, reminiscent of the hardest points grunge rock, punk rock,...

Review Projection – Divide and Conquer

Posted 25 May 2022 in News

DIVIDE AND CONQUER Adam Idell (drums), Tommy Marcel (guitars), Aaron Kusterer (guitars), Krista Turkoglou Ray (vocals) and Troy Spiropoulos (bass/vocals) are Slow Burning Car. The band recently released Projection. This is an album that felt like it came straight from the ’90s. There’s a lot of guitar and in fact tons of riff which sound like they come from the alternative scene. Nirvana and Green Day definitely came to mind a number of times. They open with “Public Cynic” and you get a good mix of distorted power chords, bass, driving drums and vocals. The song seems to revolve around quarantine which at this point is no longer a novel topic. “Lad-ish Man” opens up sounding like a B-side from Green Day. The...
