The band recently released Projection.<\/p>\n<p>This is an album that felt like it came straight from the \u201990s. There\u2019s a lot of guitar and in fact tons of riff which sound like they come from the alternative scene. Nirvana and Green Day definitely came to mind a number of times.<\/p>\n<p>They open with \u201cPublic Cynic\u201d and you get a good mix of distorted power chords, bass, driving drums and vocals. The song seems to revolve around quarantine which at this point is no longer a novel topic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLad-ish Man\u201d opens up sounding like a B-side from Green Day. The male and female vocals are well done. They continue with \u201cDiamond in the Rough\u201d which sounded more like a Van Halen song and has one of the catchiest hooks.<\/p>\n<p>The band has success with the loose and fun \u201cFunnybone\u2019 while \u201cMemoirs of a Gentemen Ghost\u201d has dramatic spoken word that does feel a bit melodramatic. \u201cThe Quantum Mariner\u201d continues to form their foundation. They have a soft ballad moment with \u201cSeem So Nice.\u201d They mellow out on the atmospheric side with \u201cGardens in Space\u201d and \u201cMeraki.\u201d Last up is \u2018Transfer Terminal Twelve\u201d which is heady, psychedelic piece that didn\u2019t seem to ft with the other songs.<\/p>\n<p>There are some solid songs on this EP but not much that is novel.
