The upcoming single, ‘Public Cynic’ by Slow Burning Car, is available on SoundCloud and will be released on all major streaming platforms with the full album ‘Projection’ soon!

The track lasts four minutes and thirty-five seconds and commences with a spoken word section that depicts a public speech to a crowd. Sitting at a steady 148bpm, this rock track kicks in at the 0:16 mark with a thirty-two second instrumental introduction; incorporating a dominant electric guitar chord progression amalgamated with powerful percussion and a foundational bass. An acoustic guitar is brought in for the verse which is sung using a clean and slightly refrained vocal color, resultantly adding emphasis to the chorus which layers multiple, more powerful vocals.

A point of stylistic creativity can be found from 2:39 to 3:18 when a melodic shift, coupled with an intense percussion section, creates just the right amount of variation in this rock track to keep the listener fully engaged as the melody leads into an epic guitar solo. With lyrics like “always read between the lines” and “planting seeds of deep mistrust”, Slow Burning Car doesn’t hold back from allowing their opinions to be heard on the current lockdown/social distancing situation effecting the globe.

Fans of Slow Burning Car, as well as those who appreciate new rock music, will definitely want to hear this single. Make sure you follow Slow Burning Car on their social media to keep up to date with their upcoming releases and performances!
